This Maple Wood Chess Board is a highly colored, close grained wood, very tight with artistic colors and patterns.

The frame is highly polished and the inlay for the playing field is Maple.

Maple has a variety of species and Erable, or Sycamore is one of them. The craftsmen use two species of Maple to make this unique Chess Board.
